    Gosainkunda trek has been one of the most popular treks among the Hindus as it involves the trip to the Gosainkunda Lake. The lake has been deemed holy, which washes off the sins of the people.     Itinerary

    Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (Altitude 1400 m)

    Nepal Big Mountain Travel believes in persistence and belongingness. On day 1, arrival day, a representative in formal attire with garlands (Mala) and traditional Buddhist ceremonial scarf (Khata) will welcome you. This is a traditional welcoming gesture of Nepalese. The representative will guide you to the hotel. You can wander around the streets of Thamel and explore shops during the late afternoon. Then, a cultural dinner is presented overnight at Tourist Standard hotel in Kathmandu or similar class.

    Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche (1966m.) 8 hours

    New daylight begins the day and you devour your breakfast early in the morning. Then, you go on an interesting long drive of 5-6 hours to Dhunche from Kathmandu. You will engage in observing the beauty of Nepal passing through Himalayan Rivers – Trishuli. The high current of the rivers offers you a prospect of rafting which can be your next possible destination of another package we offer. To break the monotony like most of the trips, the bus rides through the shortest route possible proving the natural beauty of Nepal like the mountain ranges, flowing rivers and many more. The road is adventurously bumpy at points.

    Day 3: Trek from Dhunche to Sing Gompa

    Today is the inception of your trekking. After the breakfast, you follow the gradual uphill trail along with the awesome bamboo & oak forest, pass the impressive village of Deurali and Dimsa and reach to Sing Gompa for overnight stop today. A striking and incredible monastery has great religious fame in the whole region. The place also offers the gigantic view of Langtang Himalayan ranges.

    • Follow the gradual uphill trail along with the awesome bamboo & Oak forest
    • Pass the impressive village of Deurali and Dimsa

    Day 4: Trek to Gosaikunda (4380m) about 7 hour

    You need to ascent up to Lauribinayak and the top of Lauribinayak gives you an exotic feeling. Then the trails steeply ascend all the way to Gosaikunda. You follow a rugged trail with dramatic views; to the west Himal Chuli (7893 m) Manaslu range (8156 m), Ganesh Himal range (7406 m), Tibetan peaks and Langtang Lirung. On a clear day, even the Annapurna range can be seen rising up behind and to the north across the valley is Langtang Lirung. Along with a few huts in the high pasture of Laurebinayak, you are thrilled by crossing a small ridge and have your first views of the holy lakes. There are about a dozen lakes in the Gosainkunda Basin, the main three being Saraswatikunda, Bhairabkunda, and Gosainkunda. Mythology suggests Gosainkunda was created by Shiva when he pierced a glacier with his trident to obtain water to quench his thirst after having swallowed a poison that threatened to destroy the world.

    Day 5: Trek to Ghopte (3,530m): 7/8 hours

    Today you will hike to the Lubrina pass (4610m). It is the highest point of our entire trek and is full of panoramic Mountain View. You will then start descending gradually down towards the village of Ghopte on passing a small human settlement Phedi.

    Day 6: Trek to Kutumsang (2,470m): 5/6 hours

    After having breakfast, you will be trekking to Kutumsang today. For this, you will cross various breathtaking meadows and fields. With the gorgeous scenery of the Langtang Range, you will reach Pathi Bhanjyang and Gul Bhanjyang. You will then enjoy the thrill of crossing a ridge to reach Kutumsang where you will be staying the night.

    Day 7: Trek to Chisapani (2,215m): 4/5 hours

    You start hiking for about 3 hours downhill to beautiful Tamang village called Mulkharka. You will get to see a spectacular view of the Kathmandu valley and have lunch. You will climb down through beautiful forests and reach the top of the hill called Borlang and through there you will descend a few hundred meters down. You can see astonishing views of Himalayas at Chisapani, which is on the edge of the forest. Chill climate and the lovely view will give you a pleasant experience. You will spend the night in Chisapani in a hotel.

    • Interact with the Tamang ethnic group with a sense of belonging
    • See astonishing views of Himalayas at Chisapani

    Day 8: Trek to Sundarijal and drive to Kathmandu: 4 hrs trek, 40-minute drive

    After having breakfast, you go for an interesting trek to Sundarijal. A few hours walk will lead you to Sundarijal, which is especially famous for young local travellers for day hiking, swimming, picnic, and bike riding. The ride will let you see the terrace farming and you can tell the trees are lining up as you can breathe the fresh air. You then take a ride back to Kathmandu of almost an hour. You can view the terraced fields, rivers, streams and other natural beauties en route.

    • Visit Sundarijal for the perspective of day hiking, swimming, picnic, and bike riding
    • View terrace farming and trees are lining up as you can breathe the fresh air
