    Itinerary

    DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN ALEXANDRIA-TRANSFER CAIRO|SAME DAY CAIRO CITY TOUR

    Welcome to the eternal Egypt. You will arrive Borg El Arab Airport in Alexandria, after clearing immigration and collecting your baggage meet our representative who will take you to Cairo.

    Cairo is around two and half hour drive from Alexandria. You will reach Cairo, check in to your hotel then rest. Around 09:00hrs in the morning you will meet your guide and commence Cairo city tour.

    Highlights of the day:

    The Pyramids of Giza: All three of Giza's famed pyramids and their elaborate burial complexes were built during a frenetic period of construction, from roughly 2550 to 2490 B.C. The pyramids were built by Pharaohs Khufu (tallest), Khafre (background), and Menkaure (front). The Giza Pyramids, built to endure an eternity, have done just that. The monumental tombs are relics of Egypt's Old Kingdom era and were constructed some 4,500 years ago. Egypt's pharaohs expected to become gods in the afterlife. To prepare for the next world they erected temples to the gods and massive pyramid tombs for themselves—filled with all the things each ruler would need to guide and sustain himself in the next world.

    The Sphinx: The Great Sphinx is among the world’s largest sculptures, measuring some 240 feet (73 metres) long and 66 feet (20 metres) high. It features a lion’s body and a human head adorned with a royal headdress. The statue was carved from a single piece of limestone, and pigment residue suggests that the entire Great Sphinx was painted.

    The Papyrus: It was greatly used in the ancient times as writing material. The paper used during those time for writing was from the reed of Papyrus. You will get to know how these paper are manufactured and used. You can even buy the Egyptian paintings made in those paper here.

    The Perfumery: Since time immemorial the Egyptians have been extracting essential oils for essences. Here you have a chance to experience the aromas like, 'The secrets of the desert,' 'The lotus' and all popular international designer perfumes and colognes.

    DAY 2: EXPLORE MORE OF CAIRO

    Your breakfast in hotel will get you all charged up to explore more of Cairo today.

    Today’s highlights:

    Egyptian Museum: Your visit to the Egyptian museum will be highly knowledgeable as it will provide you the opportunity to learn about the ancient Egypt, artefacts, sarcophagi, papyri, funerary art and the contents of various tombs (including that of Queen Hetepheres), jewelry, ornaments of all kinds, and other objects. Egyptian Museum is one of a kind and is valued as the one of the most important museum of the world.

    After your visit to museum your tour resumes with visit to famous mosques in Cairo .We will start with Ibn Tulun mosque which is the best preserved of the very early Islamic structures in Cairo dates back to (876-879) and one of the largest mosques in the world it built over an area of about 6 and half feddans with the extensions. Al-Azhar mosque the first Shiite mosque built by the fatimed in 970 A.D Today Al-Azhar has turned into a theological school and is the leading university for the study of religion. Later in the evening, we will take you to Nile River Cruise. Who doesn’t dream to sail on the world’s longest river and enjoy a beautiful evening? This evening you will take pleasure of some incredible sights of Cairo from Nile River, delicious dinner and belly dance.

    DAY 3: TRANSFER TO SUEZ CANAL

    Enjoy your breakfast at hotel, then you will bid farewell to Cairo and head towards your next destination Suez Canal. This man made canal, is a outstanding accomplishment of Egypt engineering connecting the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea through the Isthmus of Suez. It was constructed by Suez Company between 1859 and 1869, this renowned canal offers watercraft a shorter journey between the North Atlantic and northern Indian Oceans via the Mediterranean and Red seas by avoiding the South Atlantic and southern Indian oceans, in turn reducing the journey by approximately 7,000 kilometres (4,300 mi).

    DAY 4: TRANSFER ALEXANDRIA | FREE DAY TO ENJOY SEA

    DAY 5: HALF DAY ALEXANDRIA CITY TOUR | DEPARTURE

    Breakfast at hotel, then check out from hotel. You will be driven to some major sights of Alexandria.

    Highlights of the day:

    CITADEL OF FORT QAITBEY
    This citadel is the further most edifices on the harbors arm. The fort is on the original site of the Pharos, Alexandria’s ancient lighthouse, built in 279 BC to a height of 12 meters and topped with the statue of Poseidon. Although Pharos was restored at various times it had finally crumbled by the time the original fort was built here, in the 1480’s. This magnificent structure houses Fort Qait Beys naval museum.

    MONTAZAH GARDEN: a private park where world leaders often meet, 150 acres of numerous trees, palms.

    Your tour ends today as you reach airport to take your flight back home with loads of Egyptian memories.
